DarkLion gives you two ways to find clients and entities: a global search that spans the entire platform, and per-tab filters on each CRM list view.

Global Search

The magnifying glass icon in the top header is available on every page in DarkLion. Click it (or press the keyboard shortcut) to open the global search bar.

Global search looks across all three entity types simultaneously:

  • Relationships — Searches by relationship name.
  • People — Searches by first name, last name, and email address.
  • Companies — Searches by company name.

Results are returned grouped by entity type with icons so you can immediately tell what kind of record you're looking at. Click any result to navigate directly to that entity's full detail page.

Use global search when you don't know if something is a person or a company — for example, if a client calls and you only have their last name. Search returns all matching entities at once so you don't have to check three tabs.

Per-Tab Filters

Each CRM tab (Relationships, People, Companies) has a Filter… search box directly above the list. As you type, the list filters in real time — no page reload, no submit button.

  • Relationships tab filter — Filters by relationship name.
  • People tab filter — Filters by name and email.
  • Companies tab filter — Filters by company name and relationship name.

The per-tab filter is faster for situations where you already know what type of record you're looking for and just need to narrow down a long list.

When to Use Which

  • Global search — Don't know if it's a person or company; have a name or email; want to navigate directly to a record.
  • Tab filter — Already on the right tab; want to scroll through a filtered list rather than navigate to one specific record.
